  Anna Wieszczyk is the artist for Michael McMillian's Lucid, the first comic book project from Before The Door with Archaia Comics. The first issue debuts this summer, but you get a chance to see some samples right here, right now. Take a look and let us know what you think.ABOUT ANNA: Anna is a 5th year student at the Academy of Fine Arts Katowice, in the graphic design department.
She specializes mostly in illustration and comics, but has some experience with traditional media.
As a student she took part in few exhibitions, including Rainbow Bridge of Illustration, an international project between European schools of art.
In her 2nd year, Anna made her debut as a comic artist with a story called Grey Shades. Since 2009, she has been working for Halo8 Studio on the Godkiller motion comic.
This year, her one-shot, Acid Sunset, appeared in the Popgun Anthology.
Currently, she's working on her degree, which will be a complete set of illustrations for Grimm Brothers' Grimmest Fairy Tales.    We met a girl named Emily, who is doing a year-long experiment where her life is "lived by" someone else. Or rather, where she lives her life according to someone else's instructions and their day-to-day plan. During this year, she spent a day with our friends/collaborators the oh-so-talented David Newsom and Sian Heder. They brought Emily by our "Before The Door" office, where we met her and she took a few photos. Below is the excerpt from Emily's daily/weekly blog about her experiment, including the photos. You can find the blog about the entire project at http://livedby.com/ EXCERPT BEGINS: THURSDAY I didn't have to work so I, instead, worked out my personal finances & took care of some Family Things. Just because I don't write about my Home Life doesn't mean I don't have one! & it's a pretty wild one too, I'll have you know. Also there are some other project-related projects on the horizon oh ok in a nutshell Ilived myself for a few hours because you can't really live anyone unless you really live yourself. & then I met up with (photographer/Jack-of-All-Trades) David Newsom & Bert (or Burt? his dog). B(e/u)rt was very cute, very movie mutt looking. We met David's wife, (director/Jack-of-All-Trades) Sian Heder at her work where she was editing this short web piece for before the door. I met a ton of, I don't know, producers & actors & things? I told them about my project, & shook hands & they were all nice.  All sweetness &/or light They showed me these pumpkins they have.  the other one has Mr. Spock on it & some other stuff, like toothsome white smiles & some candles made out of Zachary Quinto's hands. Then David & Sian & I went on a night hike & poor Burt (or Bert?) stayed in the car. We saw a coyote & an owl (some precise kind of owl) & heard a baby owl & there was a full moon. So very pleasant by night, very bright by moonlight, & not at all creepy as I thought it would be. & I liked David & Sian very much, insofar as you can tell such a thing when meeting under such odd circumstances.
